The No. 15-ranked Sea Lions made it to the final 12 at the NAIA National Tournament before No. 7-ranked Georgetown University ended the young team’s season and PLNU’s 31-match winning streak against non-conference teams. Green and gold finished with a record of 23-12.
The green and gold felt a little blue after Saturday’s game against fourth-ranked Concordia University, Irvine (CUI). The Sea Lions lost three close sets of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-21.
PLNU volleyball players had a scary start to Halloween weekend as they suffered a loss to Westmont College (WC) in three quick sets (25-23, 25-16 and 25-20).
Unable to recover from an upsetting loss earlier in the week to Cal Baptist University (25-16, 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-7), the NAIA No. 14-ranked Sea Lions were defeated 3-1 by No. 5 Azusa Pacific University (APU) in four sets (20-25, 25-13, 28-26, 25-11).
